Staff sign in
One door for everybody who works here. An instructor and a course admin sign in exactly the same way, and the session you are given decides which screen is yours — you do not have to know which kind of staff you are in order to get in.
Sidekick knows you by the email address the Sidekick service is assigned to in Wix. There is no separate Sidekick password for staff and never has been: being assigned to that service in Wix is what makes somebody an instructor, and nothing that happens on this page can add anybody to it.

The answer is the same whichever address you give. That is deliberate rather than unhelpful: an answer that varied would turn this form into a way of asking who teaches for Sidekick, and of asking it from outside.
Parents sign in at Parent sign in, and children at Child sign in.
You are signed in as an instructor. Your screen is the conductor.
The conductor is the screen that runs a sitting: the room map, the help queue, the two gates, and the teaching notes for the lesson in front of you.
Your session is kept in this browser tab, under the key that console reads, so you are not asked to sign in a second time when you get there.
You also work here in other roles. Signing in starts you in the widest one; it is not a ruling about which of them you are. Continuing as another gives you a new session with that role's reach — not an extra permission on this one.

the admin console
You are signed in as a course admin. Your screen is the Author console.
The Author console is where lessons are written, cohorts are arranged and a classroom is moved to a new plan version — one role, because the people who write the curriculum are the people who arrange the classrooms that run it. It reaches no learner realm and no transcript, and a platform admin does not reach it at all.

You are signed in as a platform admin. Your screen is the admin console.
A platform admin operates the estate: courses and classrooms, who administers them, and the live Wix account they are sold through. The Author console still refuses this role by name — operating the estate and writing the curriculum are not the same job, and one token that did both would be a combination nobody chose. Reading a child's record is a separate, audited act and is not something signing in here grants.

You are signed in as a parent, and this is the staff door. Your own surface is the parent portal.
If you also teach for Sidekick, both of those are yours — signing in simply starts you in one of them rather than ruling on which you are. Your Sidekick page asks the sign-in service which roles this address holds, and offers the way across when it holds a teaching one. That question is settled at the moment you sign in, so if you have only just been given a classroom, sign out and sign in again first.
You are signed in as a child, and this is the door for the people who teach. Yours is your Sidekick, and nothing is wrong — you are just on the wrong page.
